FAQ

  • How long will my order take to produce?
Each of our items are made to order. You can check processing time information on each of our listings. You can also email us at info@thewolfworkshop.co.uk to find out how busy our bench is right now.
  • I need my item urgently, what can I do?"
Please notify us immediately if your order is needed for a special occasion or specific date. We highly recommend ordering in advance and within the listed processing time for your item. Please understand that we do not have a huge warehouse or manufacturer and every item is handmade by Pipa. For looming deadlines, we recommend contacting us before placing your order to ensure that your deadline can be met. Each item has a minimum processing time, we can discuss this with you via email and we will do our utmost reach the best possible solution.
  • Where are you based?
Our studio is in the Leigh Spinners Mill. We are part of Creative Spin Studios on Floor 4 with many other artists and creatives. You can check out our studios on facebook and instagram.
  • Can I visit you?
Whilst our mill is open, currently visits to our studio are by appointment or booking only. If you would like to visit us, please send an email and we will get back to you. However we do encourage all our customers to visit the mill if they can, it has a great heritage center, some fantastic small buisnesses and interesting stores, a great gym and quite possibly the best cake from any cafe in the UK.
  • Do you sell craft supplies?
Currently we do not supply leather dyes, tools or materials. On our courses, we advise on several suppliers of leathercraft kit, but we do not stock this ourselves.
  • I have a question, how can I contact you?"
You can either use the Contact Us form, or send a message to info@thewolfworkshop.co.uk
  • Do you stock vegan leather or leather alternatives?
At this time, we do not stock any vegan products. Vegan leather is a growing industry, and we are aware that many have a requirement for these products. Leather is a very unique material, that as yet has not been replicated or has a suitable alternative. Leather can be dyed, shaped and tooled, something which its counterparts cannot. Many vegan leathers are either wildly expensive, or do not yet have the strength or longevity that leather does. Often leather alternatives are produced with plastics and can disintegrate over time but not biodegrade. Whilst we understand that real leather is a concern for some customers, our business is built on producing high quality, well made items that stand the test of time. Whilst one faux leather bag may last only a few weeks before showing signs of wear, our real leather bags can last for years.
  • I am concerned about using real leather...
All our leather is by-product of the meat industry. This means that any hides not produced into leather are sent to the landfill. Around 75% of hides end up this way. We choose to use these hides, even though they may have blemishes, scars and other natural imperfections to save those landfills from both the usable, strong and resiliant material, as well as plastics and other non-biodegradable leather alternatives. The colouring we offer online are all waterbased dyes safe from harmful chemicals that other dyes often include. We finish our bags with a beeswax compound and source all our hardware from reputable suppliers. If you have any other concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
