After popular demand, our three day bag making course is now available! Are you looking for something a little quirky and unusual? Want to let your creativity go wild? Well then this is definitely the course for you!
In this fantastic session, you will be guided through the process of making your own bag entirely out of real leather. Learn the techniques and skills required to make your very own bag to take away and show off to your loved ones (and strangers!). Let your own personality shine in your choice of colours and design!
Our commitment to excellence extends beyond teaching; we ensure that our 3-day bag making courses maintain small class sizes, guaranteeing personalised attention and dedicated 1-to-1 time with our expert instructor.
workshop structure
This workshop runs for 3 consecutive days from 10am to 4pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
Day 1
You will embark on your leathercraft journey by choosing your pattern before selecting your leathers, colours and design choices from our fantastic range. This day will focus on cutting your bag and the construction process. Your patterns will be prepared for you.
Day 2
Day two will continue with cutting your bag, adding stitch holes and hardware as well as dying and embellishing your leather. We will also begin the assembly of parts of the bag to get you ready for the final push!
Day 3
On the last day, we will finish assembling your bag. There will be lots of sewing to do! We will also give it a beautiful polish and look at leathercare. Any final touches can be added and you're ready to show off!
what will you craft?
In your workshop, you will make one bag of your choosing from a selection of pre-prepared patterns. All designs are unisex and can be adapted to fit varying heights and wearing styles. All patterns used in this class will focus on classic, interesting or modern design.
You will be able to choose from a wide rang of leathers, dyes, colours and embellishments in the studio. However we cannot accommodate alterations to the pre-set pattern choices. If you would like to alter your patterns or delve deeper into bag making, why not see The Leather Bag Masterclass?

3-Day Leather Bag Workshop
Our 3-day Bag Making Workshop is tailored for everyone from seasoned crafters to complete beginners looking for a fun few days to get stuck into a project.
This course focuses on a more laid back atmosphere and social time whilst making a wonderful handbag! There will be a choice of pre-prepared patterns for you, simple dye colour options or pre-dyed leathers will be at your fingertips. Construction methods are also simpler and aim to give you a fantastic end result with a medium amount of challenge.
The Bag Making Masterclass
The bag making masterclass is here to teach you as much as possible about bag making! In our test workshops, we found that students couldn't fit everything they wanted to craft in just three days, so we expanded the course!
This workshop gives a more indepth look at leathercraft and doesn't limit creativity. The extended course allows for larger bags, pattern adjustments and changes, finer finishing and more creative dye options. This course also has the option to line your bag, add zips or other wishes and wants!
