Three Day Shoemaking Workshop
After popular demand, our three day shoe making course is now here! Are you looking for something a little quirky and unusual? Want to let your creativity go wild? Well then this is definitely the course for you!
In this fantastic session, you will be guided through the process of making your own shoes entirely out of real leather. Learn the techniques and skills to craft pairs of shoes at home and make your style dreams come true. Let your own personality shine in your choice of colours and design!
Our commitment to excellence extends beyond teaching; we ensure that our 3-day shoe making courses maintain small class sizes, guaranteeing personalised attention and dedicated 1-to-1 time with our expert leathercraft instructor.
workshop structure
This workshop runs for 3 consecutive days from 10am to 4pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
Day 1
You will embark on your leathercraft journey by learning shoe patterning, creating your design and selecting your leathers from our fantastic range. This day will focus on cutting your shoes, constructing the uppers and preparing for lasting.
Day 2
Day two will see you finish off the construction of your uppers before beginning the lasting process! You will learn about exactly what goes into shoe making and how to build the layers.
Day 3
On the last day, we will finish any additional lasting before adding your soles and heels! This is a great chance to add some personalisation to your shoe before using traditional finishing techniques to create a wonderful item to take home with you!
what will you craft?
In your workshop, you will make one pair of shoes of your choosing. From heels to brogues, to funky flats, design your perfect shoe from our rage of studio materials.
You will be able to choose from a wide rang of leathers, dyes, colours and embellishments in the studio. If you have specific requirements or design ideas, please contact us prior to your workshop so we can check our stock and place any necessary orders.
what's included?
In your workshop, you will create one pair of shoes in your chosen size, style and leather colours!
After your workshop, you will also receive a copy of our 26 page Buyers Guide. Filled with articles, handy information and a list of UK suppliers, this booklet has been specially produced to ensure all our students leave our course with everything they could possibly need to continue their journey in leathercrafting.
We also have a small cafe's worth of tea, coffee and snacks whilst you craft!
